15th Annual Race

Running to the Rocker

This is a competitive, timed and very unique 4-mile, point-to-point run from historic downtown Cuba, Missouri to the Route 66 Rocker at Fanning US 66 Outpost in Fanning, Missouri.  The race will begin at Frisco’s Grill and Pub along the BNSF Railway.  Registration is from 7:30 am – 8:30 a.m.  

The finish will be 4 miles west of Cuba at “The Rocker.”  All other race information including packet pickup on Friday night at the Cuba Lion’s Den, bus transportation, parking, and much more information will be sent via e-mail to early registrants. Please include your e-mail when you register to get this important information.

The last race to the Rocker in 2018, had almost 1,250 registrants! We have the expectation of an even larger event in 2023 and will  be utilizing a shotgun start by Split-Second-Timing Company, LLC.  Our goal for 2023 is 1,300 registrants!

Registration Fees

Proceeds of the race will go toward Crawford County Not-For-Profit Groups.  No refunds will be given.

4 mile Run – Adult Fee:  $35 if pre-registered by March 1st or $40 after March 1st. Race shirt included with registration.

Children: 13 and under are $15 if pre-registered by March 1st or $20 after March 1st, Race shirt included.

Shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations after March 1st.

Runners and walkers are welcome in the 4 mile run. No animals or bicycles please. Jogging strollers are allowed.

You may also enter the race with a team! Must be at least 5 racers on a team to qualify for the TRAVELING TEAM PLAQUE. There can be unlimited members on a team, but only the top five finishers will earn points. We will also issue a trophy for the largest team.  You must be a paid participant to be eligible for the team trophies.

Presentations will take place in front of the Rocker shortly after the race!

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given to the top 3 overall males and females.

Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd  Male and Female participants in the following age groups:

10 and under    11-15         16-20          21-30          31-40          41-50          51-60           61-70         71 and over

4-Mile registrants who FINISH will also be eligible for prizes donated by area sponsors.

There will be no refunds for the race however we will allow you to transfer your registration to another person.

Packets will be available race morning at Cuba Lions Hall starting at 7:30 am

We will run rain, shine, or thunder snow!

Yes. Although there is limited parking at the race start there will be a map sent out with other parking options

GRANTS

We are happy to receive request for grants with community and school projects.  Due to the grant requests, all applications will be reviewed by the race staff in order to determine funding.  Applications are due back to the race staff by March 19, 2023.
